Canadian Geographic Education Summer Institute
A summer institute hosted by Canadian Geographic Education for Canadian educators that focused on science, geography and geo-technology. I presented the Living Space project as a way to incorporate more technology and hands-on experiential learning with a geographical focus in the classroom.

Mer Bleue Student Visit
A local class of grade 9 students visited Mer Bleue to learn more about wetlands, as they were extending the Living Space project to investigate the effect of temperature on peatland carbon dioxide emissions.

National Volunteer Conference
Let’s Talk Science hosts an annual conference for post-secondary volunteers who represent the organization across Canada. With a focus on practical training and career readiness, this conference is the highlight of many volunteers’ early career development.

STEM 4 Girls Day
This one day event, hosted by the Ottawa Catholic School Board at the Science and Technology Museum, provided the opportunity for grade 7-10 girls to engage in STEM activities and hear from women working in STEM fields.

LTS Challenge
The Let’s Talk Science Challenge is an annual team-based event held at post-secondary institutions across Canada to engage grade 6-8 youth in a science trivia competition and hands-on engineering challenges.

Girls in ICT Day
The Government of Canada collaborated with IDRC, Invest Ottawa, and Digital Opportunity Trust to host an in Ottawa to empower girls to pursue an interest in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and showcase the opportunities for using ICT for entrepreneurship and social impact.
